The iconic Vivienne Westwood label is set to make waves in the Middle East with its inaugural fashion show during Riyadh Fashion Week, scheduled for 16 October. This momentous event will unfold in the picturesque setting of a Palm Grove in Riyadh, signaling a significant milestone in the region’s fashion landscape.
Carlo DโAmario, the companyโs CEO, expressed excitement regarding the event and emphasized the importance of cultural exchange in fashion. He stated that the label is curating a special collection of embroidered gowns, resulting from a collaboration between their couture team and local artisans. This initiative aims to promote Saudi Arabiaโs rich traditions while integrating an international viewpoint. DโAmario highlighted the concept of “global-local,” asserting that modern fashion should forge connections between diverse cultures and champion local craftsmanship.
This exclusive capsule collection is being developed in conjunction with โArt of Heritage,โ an organization dedicated to protecting and showcasing the craftsmanship integral to Saudi Arabiaโs cultural identity. Visitors to the show will also witness the unveiling of Vivienne Westwoodโs Spring/Summer 2026 collection, blending distinctive global fashion trends with local heritage.

In a further commitment to nurturing local talent, Vivienne Westwood has extended invitations to approximately 100 fashion students from nearby institutions. These students will have the opportunity to participate in mentoring sessions led by industry professionals ahead of the show, effectively enriching their educational experience.
Now in its third iteration, Riyadh Fashion Week has established a reputable presence in the regional fashion scene. However, it marks a pivotal moment with the inclusion of renowned international brands for the first time, setting the stage for groundbreaking collaborations such as the one with Vivienne Westwood.
