Alo has named Benedetta Petruzzo as the new chief executive overseeing its international operations, as revealed on Saturday.
In her expanded role, Petruzzo will be at the forefront of managing Alo’s global operations. Her focus will lie in enhancing client experience, developing market strategies, and solidifying brand identity, all while emphasizing the wellness category. Based in Los Angeles, Alo currently caters to a client base across 128 nations and operates over 200 stores in 26 countries.
Petruzzo transitions to Alo from Dior, where she held the position of managing director since October 2024. Prior to that, she was the chief executive of Miu Miu, a period marked by remarkable growth at the Prada subsidiary. During her leadership, Miu Miu’s revenues nearly doubled in the first half of 2024, largely driven by viral hits beloved by Gen Z, including its trendy cut-off “micro skirts.”
This strategic appointment aligns with Alo’s endeavor to enhance its luxury positioning. Last September, the activewear brand debuted a high-end collection of leather handbags, with prices reaching as high as $3,600 as part of its Alo Atelier line. The brand has also been expanding its international footprint, with its inaugural flagship store in Paris set to open on the iconic Champs-Élysées by the end of this year or early next year.
