Italian brand Borsalino, renowned as one of the most esteemed hat makers globally, has introduced its latest fragrance, White Iris. This scent marks the second addition to the house’s B&W Collection, following the release of the men’s cologne Black Iris earlier this year.
Conceptualized as a luminous counterpart to Black Iris, White Iris draws inspiration from the enchanting era of black-and-white cinema, reflecting Borsalino’s historical ties to film. The brand’s hats have made notable appearances in iconic films such as Bonnie and Clyde, The Conformist, Chinatown, The Godfather, and the classic French movie Borsalino featuring Alain Delon and Jean-Paul Belmondo.
“Rather than just a conversation, the B&W Collection serves as a fragrance duet, designed to enhance and complement each other, ideally suited for a first date,” stated Borsalino in a recent announcement.
Building on this initial romantic theme, the story will evolve with new scents in 2026 and 2027, each one capturing essential moments of Italian romance expressed through fragrance.
Borsalino’s B&W Collection is crafted in partnership with Perfume Street, a Paris-based fragrance hub founded by Arthur Cukier, known for developing olfactory experiences tailored for heritage brands.
White Iris showcases a diverse scent pyramid with top notes of Bergamot, Lemon Sfuma, and Iris Italy, blended with rich heart notes of Jasmine Morning, India Absolute, Orange Blossom, and a hint of Amaretto liqueur, supporting a background of Praline, Cedarwood Virginia Essence, and Patchouli Prisma Indonesia Essence.
Reflecting the design of its masculine predecessor, the White Iris bottle pays homage to the maison’s esteemed hat-making legacy. Its cap resembles an elegant hat, while its ribbon-inspired label dazzles in bright white.
In Italy, White Iris will be sold exclusively at two distinguished fragrance retailers: Lively and Estasy, a couple of meticulously chosen partners. Internationally, you can find White Iris at select luxury retailers, in addition to being available on the Borsalino and Perfume Street websites.
The Borsalino White Iris Eau de Parfum Spray is offered in a 10 ml size for €24.95, a 50 ml for €95, and a 100 ml option for €120.
