Coperni will not participate in Paris Fashion Week for the upcoming season. Founders Arnaud Vaillant and Sebastien Meyer revealed this decision on Friday, attributing it to tensions in their partnership with Tomorrow London, which acquired a stake in the label back in 2019.
Initially, the collaboration with this London-based showroom-turned-brand accelerator was intended to foster growth for Coperni. However, the dynamic has shifted, leading to significant disagreements.
“This relationship has since deteriorated significantly, to the point that Coperni no longer has the means to support its development,” they communicated.
The designers expressed their intention to explore avenues that would allow them to regain control over their brand.
“This choice is neither a renunciation nor a creative pause, but a founding decision taken in the best interest of the brand,” they emphasized.
Renowned for their groundbreaking and unique fashion shows, including a memorable large-scale LAN party held in a live e-sports arena, Coperni has paved the way for innovation in runway formats.
